Safety Measures

COVID-10

We take the safety of our guests very seriously and would like to show you the general guidelines to which hotels and restaurants in Rhineland-Palatinate must adhere. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to get in touch with us.

Gastronomic businesses

  • Guests are informed about the access restrictions and distance regulations by means of suitable, clearly visible information signs.
  • All guests are obliged to wear a nose and throat protection both inside and outside. Only when the assigned seats at the table have been taken can the mouth-nose protection be removed for the duration of the sitting.
  • All employees in direct contact with guests (less than 1.5 meters away) are obliged to wear appropriate mouth and nose protection.
  • In order to control the flow of guests in gastronomic establishments with seats inside and / or outside, there is a registration or reservation obligation. (For so-called "spontaneous visits", a registration on arrival is sufficient). This is supplemented by admission control, reservations and / or signs ('Wait to be seated' or the like). This also serves to avoid waiting times and "encounter traffic". The minimum distance of the guests of at least 1.5 meters must also be ensured in the waiting area.
  • The business is obliged to enter the contact details of all guests per reservation or registration (last name, first name, address, telephone number). These must be kept for a period of 1 month starting with the day the guests visit the facility and then destroyed in compliance with the GDPR. The data may not be used for other purposes. This regulation is introduced to understand possible chains of infection.
  • At the entrance to the restaurant and before entering the guest room, guests must thoroughly disinfected their hands using clearly recognizable hand-disinfection dispensers.
  • In the gastronomic establishments, the minimum distance between the chairs from one table to the chairs of the next table must be at least 1.5 meters. This applies equally to indoor and outdoor areas. Tables cannot be shared.
  • Guests are not allowed to stay at the bar area (the bar does not count as a table and a bar stool does not count as a chair).
  • The allocation of the tables is based on the applicable regulations of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate regarding the stay of people in public (i.e. alone, with one or more other people who do not live in the same household etc.). The minimum distance of 1.5 meters at the tables can be exceeded. Make sure that the seating is appropriately generous.
  • A maximum of 6 people older than 12 years may sit at outdoor beer tables.
  • The haptic contact of the guests with everyday items (menu, cruet, trays, napkins ...) is limited to what is necessary.
  • It is necessary to regularly air the rooms in which guests or employees are staying for longer.
  • The waiting of guests is done exclusively by the service staff at the table. This applies equally to indoor and outdoor areas. Buffets and counter sales are not permitted. Out-of-home sales (e.g. pick-up / delivery / delivery services) remain unaffected.
  • The entire outdoor area must be delimited by clearly visible signs. Access can only be via a central access.
  • For counter sales business (snacks etc.) - analogous to the guidelines in the checkout area of supermarkets - markings must be made at a distance of 1.5 meters.
  • Used dishes (cutlery, glasses, plates, etc.) should be cleaned in a dishwasher at a minimum of 60 degrees.
  • A suitable access regulation must be created for the use of guest toilets. Depending on the size of the toilet room, the number of people who may stay in one toilet room at the same time must be limited. Distance rules must be observed. If necessary, every second individual toilet / urinal is to be locked.
  • Guest toilets are cleaned at regular intervals. A notice of the cleaning cycles with the signature of the cleaning staff is required. It is ensured that liquid soap and disposable towels are available for the guests. Guests are also informed about proper hand washing and distance regulations in the sanitary area. Clearly visible disinfection dispensers should also be installed between the toilet area and the guest room.
  • The current version of the "Aid to risk assessment in the sense of SARS - CoV2 occupational safety standards branch: hospitality industry" from the Food and Hospitality Trade Association (BGN) must be taken into account.
  • The information applies to all gastronomic offers, especially in wine taverns, wine tastings, wine shops and excursion boats.

Accommodation businesses

  • The guests are informed about the protection and hygiene regulations by suitable, clearly visible information signs.
  • Only people who are allowed to contact each other in accordance with the applicable Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate may move into a room together. A further limitation according to guest groups is not necessary.
  • In the entrance area there are clearly visible hand-disinfectant dispensers for the guests.
  • At check-in, contacts between employees and guests and haptic contact with consumer goods are limited to what is necessary. Distance markings and, if necessary, partitions guarantee regulated and safe guest traffic.
  • In all public areas (reception, conference rooms, breakfast room, restaurant, bar, outdoor and leisure areas, sanitary areas), the distance and hygiene rules between employees and guests are observed. The wearing of face masks in public areas is based on the current Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
  • For the gastronomic areas (breakfast service, restaurant, bar), the regulations and provisions of the current Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate apply to the gastronomic establishments.
  • A suitable access regulation must be created for the use of guest toilets. Depending on the size of the toilet room, the number of people who may stay in the toilet room at the same time must be limited. Distance rules must be observed. If necessary, every second individual toilet / urinal is to be locked.
  • Guest toilets in public areas are cleaned at regular intervals. A notice of the cleaning cycles with the signature of the cleaning staff is required. It is ensured that liquid soap and disposable towels are available for the guests. Guests are also informed about proper hand washing and distance regulations in the sanitary area.
  • All employees who are in direct contact with guests (less than 1.5 meters away) wear mouth and nose protection.
  • The simultaneous use of passenger lifts by several people must be restricted according to the size of the lifts so that distances can be maintained, provided that the people do not belong to the same household.
  • The use of objects in the room that are used by a large number of guests (e.g. pens, magazines / newspapers, bedspreads, pillows) must be reduced to a minimum or designed in such a way that cleaning / replacement takes place after each use. This also applies in other areas (e.g. meeting area).
  • The possibility of using the hotel's own swimming pools, saunas, wellness and fitness areas is based on the current Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
  • The admissibility of massage treatments and beauty applications is based on the current Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. The body-hugging services permitted thereafter are also permitted in the hotel. The safety measures specified there (e.g. mouth-nose protection and hand protection) are observed. Access is controlled via advance scheduling.
  • The admissibility of the offer of individual and outdoor sports as well as "stationary" outdoor sports / activities without direct contact (e.g. yoga, pilates, archery) is based on the current Corona Control Ordinance of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate.
  • The current version of the Aid for Action "Supplementing the risk assessment in the sense of the SARS - CoV2 occupational safety standard for the branch: hospitality industry" of the Food and Hospitality Insurance Association (BGN) must be taken into account.
